Hi There, I completely agree that sometimes weighing often is more hurtful than good, especially in the beginning.
One of the things I have had to work hardest on is not diet or exercise, but my own negative voice in my head (that I didn't even realize was there). The voice that says, "who are you kidding, you know you're not really going to do this, people are laughing at you!". (among other messages). It took a long time for me to bring that voice to the forefront, but it was so important for me.
Follow the steps bit by bit. Drink the water, track the food, move the body. It works. I promise, I promise. But it doesn't work quickly. But it does work well!
And I know everyone says 'if I can do it so can you', but it really is true. I have never weighed what I weigh now since 3rd grade. I never thought I would.
But now I do. Day by day. Keep the faith in yourself and be calm and trust the process. It really does work. 2283 days ago
Hey there! I'm so glad you've joined the 30 Somethings with 100+ Pounds to Lose! I saw your message and my heart just went out to you. I completely know what you mean. One thing that helps me is to not weigh myself so much. I focus too much on numbers when I don't want to be a number, I want to be healthy and strong. Maybe just weigh in once a week or some people only weigh in once a month.
