My first Anime series, saw it, fell in love and now I can't get enough anime.

How many days have I felt like this?

Time to get lost

Hi all, I am a 34 year old CSUF student who finally got tired of being tired all the time. I hated looking bad in all my clothes, and having nothing that fit me correctly. I decided that I was ready to do the work and say goodby to all this excess weight. I know I will never be one of those skinny girls, my frame wont allow it, but I do know that I can be both much healthier than I am now, and much less heavy. I will be happy with being a big girl, rather than a fat girl. Besides, anime skirts ...

My Goals:
2 years in to my healthy journey and still going at it. My fall semester goal is 10 pounds down (235 to 225). Even once I hit that goal I still have 25 more to go in spring and summer.

My Program:
I am taking an "aerobics and weight management" class and a tai chi class 2 times a week, I do my strength training between classes and try to come to my school rec center on every other friday and work out for a couple of hours there. I also fit a few minutes in here and there by walking to the store, by getting on and off the bus a couple of stops farther than I need to. I have made sure that I have enough fruits and veggies around to use them as a first choice, and I am staying in the habit of going meatless at least 1 full day a week, plus I try to avoid meat at breakfast during the week, but it is a bit of a challenge to eat enough protein with out going over my fat goals.

Thank you for the goodie. "Because winners get the flag." How that sparked me! I think I feel a blog in there for sometime. Thanks for the motivation.

I saw on the secrets that you gave a tip about melatonin. Does it leave you groggy in the morning? Did you talk to your doctor first or just start taking it? Do you use chemically prepared or animal based? Are there any side effects? How do you know what dosage to take? Do you need to take it continually or can you take it as needed? I'm considering melatonin as a possible sleep aid solution for me, so am trying to find everything out about it that I can.
