I've been off and on Spark People since 2009. I got back on in Aug 2012 and finally reached my goal weight on November 25, 2012.

Now is the hard part for me, staying active and continuing to eat healthy. It would be so easy for me slip back into my couch potato, snacking habits!

I believe in baby steps to reach any goal. Small, healthy, smart changes every single day. I don't always have time for a long workout.

I like to to break up my activity ...

I believe in baby steps to reach any goal. Small, healthy, smart changes every single day. I don't always have time for a long workout.

I like to to break up my activity throughout the day to keep calorie burn and metabolism working for me all day long. I also believe in rest days. Muscles need a rest to repair and strengthen.

I want to continue to work on staying strong and healthy, not skinny. I watched my mom suffer with many health problems and no muscle tone to help her get through a day. I want to avoid that in my old age!

Thanks for the blog comment. Giving up my "normal" BMI goal was hard for me, because I can stay there, and have done that for several periods of time after first getting there. That said, the weight I am today is much more sustainable and I get enough nutrients from what I am eating to be super healthy, strong, and energetic. I just didn't think the 10 pounds different was enough for me to continue to live like that, hungry and tired. It's all good here.
