I've been off and on Spark People since 2009. I got back on in Aug 2012 and finally reached my goal weight on November 25, 2012.

Now is the hard part for me, staying active and continuing to eat healthy. It would be so easy for me slip back into my couch potato, snacking habits!

I believe in baby steps to reach any goal. Small, healthy, smart changes every single day. I don't always have time for a long workout.

I like to to break up my activity throughout the day to keep calorie burn and metabolism working for me all day long. I also believe in rest days. Muscles need a rest to repair and strengthen.

I want to continue to work on staying strong and healthy, not skinny. I watched my mom suffer with many health problems and no muscle tone to help her get through a day. I want to avoid that in my old age!

Thanks for commenting and the smoothie advice! I think that is exactly what I need to do for the veggie smoothies! Add some yummy tasting low cal stuff! He's fine to drink them with just a little lemon and I always think they taste terrible!

Thanks for the birthday wishes. Even though I'm in the south, I am able to really feel like it's my birthday because we have white stuff outside as I always had it in Wisconsin on my day. I feel right at home. Though I think the white stuff is actually sleet that accumulated, about a half inch i'm guessing.
