I've been off and on Spark People since 2009. I got back on in Aug 2012 and finally reached my goal weight on November 25, 2012.

Now is the hard part for me, staying active and continuing to eat healthy. It would be so easy for me slip back into my couch potato, snacking habits!

I believe in baby steps to reach any goal. Small, healthy, smart changes every single day. I don't always have time for a long workout.

I like to to break up my activity ...

I believe in baby steps to reach any goal. Small, healthy, smart changes every single day. I don't always have time for a long workout.

I like to to break up my activity throughout the day to keep calorie burn and metabolism working for me all day long. I also believe in rest days. Muscles need a rest to repair and strengthen.

I want to continue to work on staying strong and healthy, not skinny. I watched my mom suffer with many health problems and no muscle tone to help her get through a day. I want to avoid that in my old age!

Good luck on your race today, and have fun at your Cousins Christmas!
Also, thank you for commenting on my blog. I am really trying. It's coming in so many directions, but I wanna end this year on a high note, and a low number on the scale. I admire your reaching goal, no matter how much effort it takes to stay there, i want to do the very same. Congrats Kelli!!

Thanks for such a nice comment on my "Favorite Things" blog. I saw an intexticated person walk mindlessly into traffic. The only thing that saved this guy was a the driver of the car was coming down this busy street was on top of things and screeched to halt.

We have lived in our house for 20 years. When we bought the house we had no idea we be here so long. The good news is the house has nearly tripled in value. The market for mountain homes with easy access to Denver is insane,

The bad news is we need to do some updating on the inside. My wife also wants to expand the decks. We also have accumulated a lot of stuff. We are both guilty of excessive junk collecting. Bikes don't count.

My wife is a southern girl from Florida. She loves the snow and rugged mountains even more than me. The most popular vehicles in my neck of the woods are Subarus and 4x4 Ford pickups.

Fatbikes are also really popular.

Thanks, Bruce
