In regards to Insanity, I never really was into buying DVD workouts, but I was liking the FitnessBlender workout plans. But I wanted something different that was equally challenging and took the burden off me in designing a workout. I was starting to feel complacent with FitnessBlender.
I don't really have a great way to play DVDs in my "gym" area, but I can stream, so I signed up for Beachbody's On-demand service for a year with the option to cancel within a month. It does NOT include the company's newer workouts like Cize or Insanity Max:30, despite the advertising. However, there is enough variety with Insanity, Asylum 1&2, Chalean Extreme, Turbo Fire, etc. to keep me interested at least for the year.
Insanity is primarily cardio, with a lot of plyo work and bodyweight ST. Most workouts that I have tried so far (pretty much all in the first month's worth), start with a pretty intense warm up and then static stretching which is not something that I am a huge fan of and am not sure that it is the best practice. But then you go into a more intense round. Most in this part of the program are 40-ish minutes and go pretty fast. Overall, I'm enjoying it, but I'm only about a week in - we'll see after 8 more weeks. 89 days ago
Kellie, You have inspired me since I met you. You know what to do and you just do. At the same time you love a challenge and that is key along with the positive attitude that makes you a winner in attaining and keeping a healthy and happy life. Thank you for the atta girl - it is much appreciated! We can all do this!!! 89 days ago
