I've been off and on Spark People since 2009. I got back on in Aug 2012 and finally reached my goal weight on November 25, 2012.

Now is the hard part for me, staying active and continuing to eat healthy. It would be so easy for me slip back into my couch potato, snacking habits!

I believe in baby steps to reach any goal. Small, healthy, smart changes every single day. I don't always have time for a long workout.

I believe in baby steps to reach any goal. Small, healthy, smart changes every single day. I don't always have time for a long workout.

I like to to break up my activity throughout the day to keep calorie burn and metabolism working for me all day long. I also believe in rest days. Muscles need a rest to repair and strengthen.

I want to continue to work on staying strong and healthy, not skinny. I watched my mom suffer with many health problems and no muscle tone to help her get through a day. I want to avoid that in my old age!

You're right! I felt like I was part of something wonderful on that poker run. It was the first time I've ever been on one, and I'll happily put up with the allergies to go on another one. I love being on the back of my husband's bike. It feels like I'm no longer tethered to the earth, and I can soar!
I'm not as brave as you, though. I don't ever want to drive my own motorcycle. I'd be a danger to myself and others. I'll let Garry do the driving, and I'll take care of the flying.
