Hi! I am a middle school special education teacher who was once in good shape. I love being active, but seem to have gotten so busy with everything else in life I stopped making time for me. I am looking forward to a healthier lifestyle for the new year.

Thanks for your kind words on my blog. I am doing an Inclusion job now and the teachers refuse to include me. I taught regular ed. for six years (middle school) before this and just sitting there next to the pencil sharpener is killing me. They also promised to lay me off in June. It isn't so bad as I also teach Wilson reading and one math class (all sped). But...I have hope of a better job. Thanks!

Welcome to the Special Ed Teachers Lounge!

Here are the top-5 reasons I love my SparkPeople teams:
1. Total strangers who cheer me on, some who become friends.
2. People who encourage and inspire.
3. People who share their strength when I don't have my own.
4. People who keep me trying and make me not want to give up.
5. We can never have too many of the above!

Other SparkPeople members have taught me:
1. Celebrate the little triumphs and focus on those.
2. Get up when you fall.
3. Share your success and help inspire others!
4. Share your struggles so others can inspire you.
5. It may go slow at times-- but as long as it's going, you’re doing something right.

Again, WELCOME!

Welcome to the Teachers Learning to Lose team.

If you have any questions, be sure to ask. Who better to ask than a team of teachers? LOL
Good luck reaching your goals.

Sam
