My Goals:
I've let myself get out of shape these last couple of years. It started with a torn rotator cuff and culminated in a summer of feasting way too much.

Now, I'm in the groove in getting back into shape. I'm pretty determined.

My Program:
Watching my intake and concentrating on eating things that are actually good for me.

I engage in activities every day of the week, including walking, high intensity intervals, weights, flexibility, and core work.

Personal Information:
Grew up mostly in Virginia and the bluffs over the Pacific in Southern California.

Lived in Elk Grove, CA for the last 25 years and retired from teaching this last May.

Thanks for the dumbells! Working out with weights is something I need to work on! Strength training in general would be a bonus.

Hey how's P90X going? It made me feel good to see your message on my Sparkpage, and that I could encourage you! Thanks for letting me know. Since you have lost so much weight, I hope your joints will feel better! I have some knee problems too, and plantar fascitis (foot pain), but it is a tiny bit better. My goal is to keep taking care of myself, lose weight, take care of my blood sugar, and have my joints and feet feeling better.
I have a lot going on in my personal life, and right now I have a need to move more and more...walking. So much fun to walk by the Sacramento River here. It is beautiful. Peaceful. I don't know what I will do when the temperature is 100 degrees but we'll see! Probably eary morning walks will be ok.

Keith,

I just wanted to say "WooHoo" for your progress on the 2011 miles for 2011! You are doing more than an awesome job!

You should join our Easter Treasure Hunt in the Walktober Team. All you have to do is accumulate 3 hours of exercise and choose a box! Very similar to what our Christmas Challenge was!
