Wisdom For Life - 30 Day

Activity: Stop the schedule, enjoy spontaneity!!

Choose according to what my body needs each day. With a stressful job, and sitting all day behind a desk, I need to shift some of my workouts toward stress relieving workouts, stretching exercises (including at my desk throughout the day), and more beneficial full body exercise. Also, continue experimenting with a variety of exercise genre's. Enjoy some relaxing "feel good" workouts, and focus on the benefits of gentler movement for balance of Mind, Body, and Soul!

Continue to enjoy outside activities as well, just being outside in nature with my camera, taking nature walks, gardening, relaxing on the porch enjoying nature, and hunting too.

Cooking:

With hunting season upon us, it's time for batch cooking experiments to have quick meals on hand through hunting season and winter. My goal here is to experiment, and provide fresh, clean, natural, whole foods whenever possible, but plan for quick alternatives on occasion as well.

Other:

Devotions: Strive for devotions and spiritual growth on a daily basis.

Stress mgmt(work): Maintain regular work schedule, no OT, leave work at work, me-time to relax, and try yoga, stretching, etc, to de-stress.

Have fun too!

Maintain a balanced, healthy, lifestyle an keeping life simple.

Thanks so much for the blog post comments this morning! I didn't even think about the sodium in my meal at the restaurant, but that makes total sense. I lost 1 pound from Sunday to Monday (today), so I'm sure a lot of it was water retention and sodium. UGH. I'm with you about looking forward to March and warmer days. It's supposed to be in the 40's here in Ohio tomorrow and I can't wait to see so much of this snow melt away! Keep pushing and have a great rest of the week! :)

Thank you for the sweet Heart goodie and kind words. We went out to dinner at our new favorite restaurant and had panko crusted tilapia with veggies over wild rice. It was a real treat! ...even if it was 2 degrees out there with a minus 12 windchill! Hope your day was beautiful and special! emoticon emoticon

St. Valentine was jailed for continuing to secretly marry young lovers, defying Romans rules in the third century that insisted single men made better soldiers. For this he was sentenced to death and later named for the holiday celebrating lovers. But his act of love was his act of service to the soldiers.

February 14th is the day of love, and there's nothing more important all year. So, use it to give love, show gratitude and appreciation to all those people who've touched your life this year -- whether it's giving them a gift, a hug or a simple call. Bring some you made especially for your perpetually single best friend, call your grandparent you've been meaning to talk to, make some homemade soup or cookies for that person who did you that big favor this year. Honestly, it will make you feel incredible! And that's really what the day is about: spreading love, being of service, expressing your positive emotions and feeling good. Valentine's Day is about showing love. So take the commercialism out and put the true meaning into the day,
