I am 56 years old, married. and have one adult daughter. I serve as adoption coordinator and general "jack of all trades" for a no-kill animal shelter. My purpose in life is to help homeless, abandoned, and abused animals. My goal is to become physically fit and lose 60 pounds so I can continue to take care of the dogs as I get older. I am a follower of Christ and believe God has called me to take care of his animals--it is a privilege to serve God by ministering to them.

My Program:
Exercise 5 days a week for at least 30 minutes
Work on eating a healthier diet .
Read my devotional, read from the Bible, and spend time with God every day .
Continue with my passion of animal rescue and working for the humane treatment of all animals, and a day when there will be no homeless pets.
Personal Information:
I live in the southern U.S.
I am 56 years old and really looking forward to the day when I can retire from my job and spend all my time taking care of animals. My primary focus is on dog rescue, but I love all animals. I used to rescue guinea pigs and served as a mentor to new guinea pig owners. At this time, however, my work with dogs at the shelter takes up so much time that I have had to narrow my focus.
Besides all the shelter animals, I am owned by 6 dogs and a grumpy cat.
