Update:
Although I don't log on to the Sparkpeople website very often (I work at a computer all day, and getting online when I get home is the last thing I want to do), I religiously use the Sparkpeople app for nutrition and fitness tracking. I am currently in the upper 150s, and am hoping to get back down to the low 140s or even upper 130s. I'm not sure if I can get back down to my smallest weight of 137.5 because I would rather be at a sustainable weight for the long-term. My new love is the Inside Out series by Bob Harper--Yoga for the Warrior is my absolute favorite. I've also been doing some 5ks in my area and trying to maintain an active-ish lifestyle to help offset my sedentary job. I just want to be happy, healthy, and comfortable in my own skin. They say that we create our own happiness--so this is me creating mine :)

A picture is worth a thousand words, right? Well, the picture that started my journey was worth more words than that...and none of them were positive. I couldn't believe that at my college graduation, I weighed in at 220.5 lbs. That was May, 2008 and a lot has changed since then. I have gotten my masters degree, gotten a new car, been through a couple of boyfriends, got a job, and most importantly, have managed to lose a significant amount of weight and keep off a large portion of it. My goal now is to re-lose the ~30lbs I gained back and keep it off, preferably in time for my sisters wedding in May. I'm sure I could come up with any excuse under the sun as to why I gained back some weight--I have a sedentary job, birth control pills, not enough time to make healthful meals, too much stress--but at the end of the day, my lack of discipline over eating and exercise has put me back in this position. I am ready to embark on this journey for my physical and emotional well-being as well as for those I love.
