Getting Back on Track!

My name is Katie. I am 25 and consider myself to be pretty healthy. I work in healthcare and my focus is diet, nutrition & exercise. This past year has been challenging for me with many ups, downs & twists and I allowed myself to eat for comfort and gained some weight. I stopped being as concerned with what was healthiest for me and started thinking about what would taste best and be easiest. Here I am to stop making excuses and start making changes!

My Goals:
I want to start eating better portions and less junk. I am hoping to lose the weight I have gained this past year.

My Program:
I think using SparkPeople will help me to hold myself accountable. In addition, I am starting a new job and plan to better plan and portion out meals and snacks to bring to work. I will also plan quick and easy dinners because I know if I come home hungry I will grab anything fast.

Hey Katie!

Welcome to this website! I think you will really enjoy it. There are so many fantastic people here with GREAT advice!! Very cool that you are in healthcare field! are you a nurse? I once did CNA training and it made me have so much compassion for what people in the healthcare field do. I did not pursue it though because childcare is my thing! How much weight are you trying to lose? Do you like to cook! Blogging is a lot of fun and helps relieve frustration from trying to lose weight and be healthy. :) you should try it! have a great weekend!
