Hi my name is Kristi. My goal is to lose 80 pounds by Jan 2011. I have struggled with weight all my life. I grew up chubby. Lost weight in high school. Then I gained 80 lbs when I was pregnant. Hi my name is Kristi. My goal is to lose 80 pounds by Jan 2011. I have struggled with weight all my life. I grew up chubby. Lost weight in high school. Then I gained 80 lbs when I was pregnant. I lost weight 5 yrs after my daughter was born but then it was slowly coming back so I turned to diet pills and laxatives. Which was the worst thing I ever did. Because of it I collapsed and died for a moment. I spent my 26 birthday is a phsyc ward. A month later I was diagnose with bipolar. The meds caused me to gain 80 lbs. I have been obese for for 14 years now. I love sparkpeople because you can eat whatever you want in moderation and still loose weight. If you are exercising to much it tells you, you need to eat more. 15 years ago I use to be a runner. I ran 1 marathon. After being diagnose with bipolar I never could get in the mood to run. I would love to start running again. Those where my happy times. I would love to run the twin cities marathon in Oct 2011. I just now need to get started. Ever since starting sparkpeople I have more energy, I feel better about myself, and I am meeting great people on the site. I don't look at it as a diet. I look at it as this is how we are suppose to eat and exercise.
May 2nd 2011- I am starting over after having a crazy year. I have gained almost all the weight back that I had lost. My daughter gets married June 9, 2012 and I want to look good for her wedding. I always seem to do good in the summer but once winter hits I gain the weight back on.
Goal for May is to lose 8lbs. Reward- Haircut
