Wanna Be A Runner

Hi, I'm Kim and as my page title says, "I wanna be a runner!" I have completed several 5Ks and I normally run at least 3 nights a week. I have met my original weight goal, thanks to the nutrition tracker; however now my goal is to get into shape. And I still have a while to go. I am 35 years old, married to a wonderful man who supports my goals wholeheartedly, and I am a mom to our beautiful daughter (who also supports me). I am really lucky!!

My Goals:
My 2012 goals are to get into better shape, run my first 10K by July and complete my first Half-Marathon by December. My 2013 goal is to train and complete the Tampa Tough Mudder! (Intimidated by that but more excited than anything)

My Program:
I have a really complex, complicated program I follow. I try to eat healthy foods (at home), I watch my portion sizes, I eat a peanut butter cookie when I want one (for me deprivation leads to consuming too much), I go to my boxing class 3-4 times a week and run (at least 3 miles) 3-4 nights a week. And I set goals for myself, 5K every other month, at least.

Personal Information:
My name is Kim Biddle and I live in Tampa, Fl. I found a new me inside after losing the weight I wanted, this last time around and it was easier to do using the Sparks nutrition tracker.

Other Information:
I am a big reader; I will read just about anything, but I do have a few favorite authors: Jodi Picoult, Cathy Lamb, JD Robb (Nora Roberts), Christine Feehan, Dean Koontz, I really could go on for awhile. I have 1 TV show I watch religiously and I refuse to feel guilty about it! I watch The Biggest Loser! I don't sit to watch much TV but I definitely stay motivated by watching/admiring the success of the contestants! How brave they are to get up on national TV, open themselves up, and bust their butts for all of us to watch.

Hey! Welcome to the Half Marathon team! Sounds to me like you are already a runner. You are going to rock that 10k and half marathon. As for the Tough Mudder, it's on my list to do, too. I hope to be able to get this done in 2013, too! You ready to kick butt? LET'S GET IT!
