Hi, I'm Sarah. Why am I here? Have you seen my profile picture? I think it goes without saying that I could probably lose a few (100) lbs. Truth be told I have been on SP a few times. Once I was really successful. The other attempts were incredibly half hearted. I want to get back to where I was mentally , physically, and emotionally the first time I was here. It works, I just have to commit to the work and do it. Definitely looking for some support while on here.
I want to be healthy for sure. I hate walking up a flight of stairs and not being able to breathe. I am extremely annoyed by the fact that at the end of the day my ankles no longer exist, having become one with my calf.
But its more than just that, I don't to have to worry when I go out to dinner that the booth is too small and I am then going to have to be smashed in with my bubbies on the table.. or having to say a prayer when I get on a plane that the seatbelt fits because I would rather die than have to ask for an extender, or walking into a store and not being able to buy anything but earrings or a scarf (under the scornful watch of the teeny tiny sales girl ), I want to go out with my friends and not do the whole "Ok, am I the fattest girl in the room" thing. For once I want to be the hot chick, or at the very least, feel comfortable in my own skin.
First major milestone - Get under 200lbs.
* Current jeans (24s) loose by October 22
* Into 22s (comfortably) by Christmas
* 20's by Valentines Day
Eat less. Get off chubby butt more.
Stay within calorie range and keep journal EVERY DAY.
72 oz of H20 daily
NO ELEVATOR AT WORK!!!!
Cardio - 4 -5 times a week 30 minutes at the very least. Shooting for 45 as the norm.
Take stairs at home once a day.
I live in downtown Kansas City, couldnt see myself living any place else. I adore this city.

You know, the whole challenge seems to be a little confusing. And I'm also not wanting to focus mainly on strength training right now, so I decided against that challenge. I plan on getting to my "goal" weight of 145, then focusing on tone and not the scale. Right now, I'm still almost 10 pounds away from that.
I think I'm just going to try and do cardio 5 days a week for now. Then maybe I'll try a challenge after I get a bit more "cardio friendly."
And thanks, I am feeling better now. How is the week going for you so far?

Congrats on taking the first step into changing your life to a more healthier one by joining the site. Spark is filled with amazing people that will motivate, support and encourage you on your journey. There is so much to learn and discover here, take this one day at a time. A couple of things I would like to suggestion to make you Spark experience a great one.
1. Make goals for yourself. Each month I make a list of what I want to accomplish that month and break them down to smaller goals to work with week by week. This way the BIG picture doesn't seem so big.
2. Join Spark teams. There are tons of teams here and you will be able to find ones that fit to what you like or want in a team.
The key to success here is to be active and you've already started by joining. You will find that everyone is willing to help you out if you need it.
