I have battled with my weight essentially since puberty and today is no exception. I am a 29 year old mother of two very active little boys. About two years ago, I was diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis. I have gained some degree of control through a combination of medication and a vegetarian diet.

Now my husband and I have decided that we'd like a third child, so I am off all medication and have transitioned to a gluten-free vegan diet to further reduce the effects of RA and lose a significant amount of weight.

My first goal is to get out of the "morbidly obese" category.

My Goals:

Goal #1: Reach a weight of 254 pounds to exit the "morbidly obese" category. (Accomplished 10 Sep 2011)

Goal #2: Reach a weight of 223 to exit the "severely obese" category.

Goal #3: Reach a weight of 191 to exit the "obese" category.

Goal #4: Reach a weight of 159 for the top of my normal weight range.

My Program:
I exercise at least half an hour a day, six days a week, as well as sticking to a gluten-free vegan diet.
