Hi! back to SP! on making the decision to get serious about a healthier life style! It isn't easy, but if you just take one day at a time and stick to your plan.
I just visited your Spark Page, and see that you are off to a good start. I'd offer a few suggestions, if you think it would help you reach your goals:
- you might want to join another team or two that have interests similar to yours. Then posting on the message boards of those teams will help you to meet people and make friends. I'm convinced that we can't do this alone - and I've discovered that my Spark friends are my greatest support and motivation to keep at it.
- also it really helps to track your food and exercise every day. it keeps you accountable. And besides, we usually don't realize how many calories we're taking in until we start to track everything that goes into our mouths! LOL!!
- and exercise is absolutely necessary!! Start off with 15 minutes a day, and you'll see that soon you'll be doing 30 or more minutes! When you really don't have time, make time for 10 minutes at least. There are lots of videos on this site that you can use - videos that are 10,12, 15 minutes... whatever you want. Or if you have a bike or treadmill, you can use that - but the important thing is to do some exercise just about every day.
