Trying to work on me again!

When I joined Sparkpeople in 2009, I was able to lose 45lbs. and kept off that weight for about a year. Unfortunately, I did not apply maintenance and further weight loss programming into my lifestyle and gained all that weight back.

Now, I've recommitted to using Sparkpeople and have employed other measures to keep me on track!

I would love to hear from you and help support you on your journey as well.

My Goals:
First Goal with Health Coach to lose 10% of weight by March 2014.

Nutrition goals:

1. Increase water consumption to at least 8 cups of water daily.

2. Keep to healthy portions.

Fitness goals:

1. Walk on treadmill at home for at least 30 minutes everyday.

2. Ab exercises at least 3 x/week

3. Starting 30 day shred dvd--at this point 1/week

4. Low weight strength based activities-3x/week

5. Office exercises for at least 20 minutes three times a week.



Wellness Goals:

1. To give myself daily affirmations. (made vision board for home and work)

2. Check in with my SparkFriends and SparkTeams at least two times per week.

3. Tell someone something positive about his/herelf everyday.

4. Check in with Health Coach weekly





My Program:
Following the meal plans on the website in conjunction with "The Spark".

This time I've incorporated the use of a "sponsor" who I speak with daily.

I also read daily affirmations, meditate, and congratulate myself for keeping the program up.

I make a point to read The Spark at least once a month and also change up my Spark Page every now and then so things don't get bland for me.

I joined a Health Coaching program through my employer's wellness program to assist with motivation and consistency.

My name is Karen. I live in Newark, Delaware.

I got married in 2009. My husband Kevin is extremely supportive and accepts me for who I am. We adopted a cocker spaniel named Marley in March, 2010.

I have a graduate degree.

I am a Grants Administrator.

My motto: Progress not Perfection!!

Passing it on is the only way to keep it.
