emoticon for stopping by my 10K blog and for the spark goodie. It was so encouraging to hear from you. I rejoice that we are still on this journey together. You are one of the first people I found when I joined SP, and so many of the others are no longer here. Love that you are still working hard.

Biking is good exercise. Sometimes I get a "hankering" to bike. But I don't have a bike and everywhere I could bike from home, I have hills, real hills!!! And realistically, I don't think I would take my bike somewhere to ride.

If you are really interested in walking, I recommend Jeff Galloway's book: "Walking The Complete Book" He also has books on running and I'm not ready for that. But I wish I had the book 12 weeks ago when I started training for the 10K. 6.2 miles is about at the limit of my endurance right now. I'm not going to push it fast, but I'm going to keep pushing. Maybe I can run a half marathon some day.

Thank you for commenting on my blog - my primary drug is food for sure, that was why it was relatively easy to give up the alcohol - and if I had your habits of drinking I would not had given it up at all... but i tend to obsess with almost everything and it is much easier to let it go then...

Thanks for your response on my Breaking Point blog. I just had to acknowledge my own annoyance with the challenges I'm facing. Until I verbalize, I tend to stew. Now that I've vented, I could move on to more productive coping mechanisms. In the grand scheme of things, its not the end of the world. So I shift and adapt. Plenty of good things will come my way soon enough.
Best wishes on your journey and knocking down any roadblocks you encounter.

Thanks for stopping by. I have just read a couple of your blogs and want to congratulate you for a couple of different reasons...

Firstly, your writing is lovely and reads true which is very inspiring and also helpful - so well done you...

And secondly on sticking to your principles and learning what works for you and "doing it"...

Seems so simple once we realise we are being poisoned by the current changes in the food chain, culture, availabilty and the advertising dream of "the happy family"... "happy person" bullcrap...

Anyway, keep focused and will look forward to the day when you reach your goal weight and the ten year anniversary of maintaining it!

    All the best +Mark...
