I started my journey with Sparkpeople back in June 2008 and have taken several breaks for one reason or another.

I came back in Feb of 2010 and left in April 2010 when my dad got sick, not knowing that I was sick my self. I have a kidney problem and came out of remission at some point since aug 2007 and just found out in by June 2010. I have been back on sparks since 8/18/10 and have lost 4 lbs I need to loose as much weight as possible as soon as possible. I am back and it is 217 I now need to loose 130 LBS.

So here I am againg and I hope with fall coming on that I will be able to get back out there and walk and do more moving around.

I love to hike and take walks I alo like to go camping, riding a bicycle, or riding horses.

My son loves to play the trombone. He is the most successful thing I have done so far. I am very proud of him and his wife.

    Hi there!
I noticed your comment on the 'how not to eat when bored or stressed' message board.

I read that you are kinda craving the sweets and unsure if eating fruit is low glycemic enough for you. I think it depends on the fruit.

My naturopath put me on a anti-candida diet once which excludes all sugary foods & foods that turn to sugar quickly such as white bread, corn, potatoes etc; but she said I could have berries. Blueberries, strawberries, raspberries, blackberries, gooseberries – they’re all packed with antioxidants and vitamins. They are full of fiber & are the smartest, most nutritionally-dense fruit you can eat. (Glycemic Index: low )

Cherries are similar to berries in terms of their antioxidant value. They have a bit higher natural sugar content, but they’re still very low-carb and are an excellent source of important fiber. (GI: low)

I hope you are having a great weekend all and all & especially with your weight loss. What a bummer about your hip.

Congratulations on your weight loss this week. Thanks for the comment on my SP. I was considering going back to work part time next week, but there are still some problems with increased problems a day after I do a lot. I see my doctor on the 15 and I hope we can work out a plan for returning to work soon.

Wanted to let you know I really appreciate all of the support from my Spark friends and team mates. It is incredible and somewhat overwhelming. Now is the challenge time for me. Here's hoping that by sparking I can stay away from the kitchen cupboard and stay within my calorie range.

    Thanks again for your support.

Thanks for your comments on my blog. I'm not too worried about the surgery-I just want to get rid of the pain in my foot & walk normally! Have a great week. Kim
