How have you been? Is your little man done with his first year of school? Mine will be done Monday, though I think my daughter is skipping out on tomorrow and Monday, as the teachers have told them to (she's in high school).

Good Morning!
Well, it was a rocky start. I first tried to quit on 4/9 (at 171.5 lbs) and only made it 3 days. Then I smoke for 5 days, quit again for 3 days, smoked for 2 days, then finally quit again on 4/22 (at 168 lbs). 2 1/2 weeks later I am at 166.
So looking back in the last month, I have lost 5.5 lbs.
The first time I tried to quit, TOM came the same day, and those couple days I was having cravings. But I'm not sure from which. This time, I haven't had any cravings, so maybe it was just TOM.

I'm now on Step 2 and doing fine. No cravings, no weight gain.
It can be done! The one thing I did the first few days, and even still do on occasion, is use the sugar free Ice Breaker mints. That helps for cravings with both smoking and food!

I do know that I wouldn't have been so successful if I had just quit cold turkey. I tried, but just couldn't do it. So while I may be using an aid, at least I'm no longer smoking. I am getting nicotine yes, but not all the other hundreds of harmful chemicals in a cigarette!

Hello! How are you doing? Thought I would stop in and wish you a terrific Tuesday!!

P.S. I'm 2 1/2 weeks smoke free now! I moved to Step 2 on the patch too! I'm feeling so much better. If you try again, I highly recommend this method!
