I defy traditional labels. Socially liberal, morally conservative, can't figure out how people can be cruel to one another. I love to get to know people who are not just like me. I'm a natural optimist, but sometimes get dragged down by a gene pool that tends toward depression. I wish the sun would shine all the time. I love OTHER PEOPLE'S dogs, but would say I'm a cat person. Big into sports, particularly soccer, track/cross country, football, college basketball and any Olympic event except boxing and such. It is difficult for me to go a day without some Junior Mints. I wish I were a better evangelist.

My Goals:
I will be strong and fit enough to say YES to any physical activity I'm asked to participate in. Biking to MIL's house 50 miles away - YES! Running sprints with my soccer daughter- YES! Kayaking up the river to the next town - YES! Carrying 35 lbs of cat litter into the house - YES!

I will say NO only if I want to, not because I'm unable.

My Program:
Eat food for fuel. Expand my repertoire of healthy foods.

Exercise daily and vary activities - HIIT, running, walking, weights, kayaking, elliptical, yoga, pilates, WATP. I'm taking suggestions!

Make time for relaxation. Get 7-8 hours of sleep. Read something for fun every day.

Personal Information:
Live in NE Wisconsin which means cold winters and hot summers.

Married 29 years in 2017, and have two grown children.

Love to be active. Becoming more diligent about food choices so the 50s flabbies don't set in.

Favorite things: fireflies, bachelor buttons, goldfinches, baby feet, ethnic dances, foreign languages, windyman/airdancer, laughing until it hurts, many many more!

    I loooooove your Beck Day 4 post ... We're all like that 5-year old - learning new skills in an environment that can be confusing, intimidating and even a bit scary.

    I was down 100+ pounds and "found" 8ish of them again. BUT instead of gaining it allllll back I have "paused" and am finding my way through this confusing, intimidating and even a bit scary time ... by getting back on track NOW.
