MY bachelor buttons
Door County Cherries
I defy traditional labels. Socially liberal, morally conservative, can't figure out how people can be cruel to one another. I love to get to know people who are not just like me. I'm a natural optimist, but sometimes get dragged down by a gene pool that tends toward depression. I wish the sun would shine all the time. I love OTHER PEOPLE'S dogs, but would say I'm a cat person. Big into sports, particularly soccer, track/cross country, football, college basketball and any Olympic event except boxing and such. It is difficult for me to go a day without some Junior Mints. I wish I were a better evangelist.
I will be strong and fit enough to say YES to any physical activity I'm asked to participate in. Biking to MIL's house 50 miles away - YES! Running sprints with my soccer daughter- YES! Kayaking up the river to the next town - YES! Carrying 35 lbs of cat litter into the house - YES!
I will say NO only if I want to, not because I'm unable.
Eat food for fuel. Expand my repertoire of healthy foods.
Exercise daily and vary activities - HIIT, running, walking, weights, kayaking, elliptical, yoga, pilates, WATP. I'm taking suggestions!
Make time for relaxation. Get 7-8 hours of sleep. Read something for fun every day.
Live in NE Wisconsin which means cold winters and hot summers.
Married 28 years in 2016, and have two grown children.
Love to be active. Becoming more diligent about food choices so the 50s flabbies don't set in.
Having a heckuva time keeping those Junior Mints out of my mouth. They are my worst temptation.

How does it feel to be in the top five for team fitness minutes this week?????
I hope you are feeling good about it!
Here are some words to ponder
"Big things are built one brick at a time. Victories are achieved one choice at a time. A life well lived is chosen one day at a time."
SOmetimes our goals may seem far away, but just keep pushing daily, and someday will become today!

So, your Day 17 turned into another day of Practice Hunger Tolerance! ; )
And a good one too, you did great in this difficult situation.
I'm glad to hear your DH accepted that you are leaving bites when you are full - that is a very precious skill, deserves praise not scolding.

I celebrate YOU for being in the top five for team fitness minutes this week!!!
I am trying to be like a turtle these days - at ease in my own shell.
People may put discouragement in our way, but if we are at ease in our own shells, nothing will keep us from our goals!

That candy corn lying around in the kitchen most be hard to resist, you deserve credit every time you succeed!
Would the "owner" accept if you placed the candy in a nice opaque container?
I know some people can't... oh well, we cannot change thinking of others, only ours, and you are doing that very well.
