An Accumulation of Small Choices

I'm just looking to form and sustain a healthy, life-long, relaxed relationship with food and exercise. For a long time I've approached fitness as a battle to be won through hardship and sacrifice. In the end all that got me was an unhealthy body image and wildly vacillating numbers on the scale.

No calorie counting, no obsessive weigh-ins, no insane work-out routines that get discouraging after a week. I want to make positive, permanent change to take with me into the future. ...

No calorie counting, no obsessive weigh-ins, no insane work-out routines that get discouraging after a week. I want to make positive, permanent change to take with me into the future. Health should be fun and intuitive, not stressful and confusing, and that change in perspective is what I hope to achieve.

My Goals:
I just want to get into an intuitive relationship with food and exercise. To read my body's signals, wants, and needs, and have fun doing it. Rather than be ruled by cravings, I want to make my own decisions.

My Program:
I'll add things here as I add them into my program.

1.) only eat when truly hungry
2.) stop when satisfied, not full
3.) . . .

Personal Information:
I'm in my mid-twenties and currently getting my Master's Degree to be a high school English teacher so I can torture teenage kids. I have a fiancé who is also going to teach English (although likely at the college level), and two cats, Clarence and Gordon.

Other Information:

165 - movie out
160 - reading day
155 - nature walk
150 - nice dinner out

I am SO glad to read what you wrote in your intro! It really makes me happy to see that you know this shouldn't be a battleground and HOPEFULLY you know how disgustingly beautiful you are too! :) MUAH! Love you!
