Time For a Change

If you keep doing what you've always done, you'll keep getting what you've always gotten. Consistently, year to year, I have made resolutions to be more active, get my health under control, and consistently that's lasted about a month. The one thing I've never truly done, and I know this in my heart of hearts, is I've never truly committed to my goals, or asked for any kind of community support. So here I am, here are my goals, and here we go!

My Goals:
Never see the other side of 200lbs.

Live a healthy life, despite less-than-perfect eating habits.

My Program:
I'm exercising (strength and cardio) 6 days a week, cycling through upper, lower, core. Resting on Sunday.

I'm also tracking my nutrition and trying to keep as many numbers within the healthy ranges.

Personal Information:
I'm 23 and I work constantly without getting paid. Most of my work centers around live theatre, the crux of which is that I'm trying to create my own theatre company.

It took me years to learn why I was failing in my attempts at losing weight.
1) Dieting doesn't work. Real change only comes from making real changes and being healthy isn't a project you can finish and forget.
2) You can't do it over night. Some things take time.
3) Don't be afraid to ask for support.

That third one messed with me for a long time. Now that I am over it, I'm here at Spark, interacting with others and it really is helping me to get healthy.
