Whatever the problem is, the answer is not in the fridge.

I'm constantly trying to find the willpower to eat healthier and to follow an exercise program on a regular basis. After a few days or a few weeks, if I'm lucky, I just get off track. I don't know what keeps holding me back. Why do I work hard to reach a certain point and then find my way back to the starting line over and over again?

My Summer 5% Challenge Commitment:

I am just getting over a broken foot so in the beginning, I will be following exercises for limited mobility:
-- Chair exercise
videos - 15 minutes
3 times per week

-- Beginning yoga
DVDs - 15 minutes 3
times per week

-- Increased
walking 15-20
minutes 4-5 times
per week as
tolerated.

- Weigh in weekly.
- Participate in all the LTGL challenges.
- Give it all I got to meet my 5% weight loss goal.
- Support my teammates and have fun!



My Program:
-- A modified Weight Watchers Plan.

-- Stay away from junk food; choose better meals and snacks.

-- Get lots of ideas and support from SparkPeople and my 5% Summer Challenge team!

emoticon for the kudos re weight loss! I'm going to be pushing myself hard again this week to make as much progress as I can this week to manage all the upcoming food events and family reunion (have 3 before Saturday's weigh in!).

Good morning. Thanks so much for your kudos re my weight loss. We both had a great week! It feels good to have a little tracton under my feet, finally after months of weight cycling. Hoping for another good weigh in at the end of the this week.

Then the Super Challenge starts for me. My family starts arriving for a family reunion ....I have 5 food events in one week! After 2 days reprieve, we leave for a 5 day vacation and there will be more eating. I think I will just enjoy Stonehenge with my fellow sous chefs, than worry about this today. And my, isn't this scenery something!
