One day at a time...

I'm at the heaviest that I've ever been. There are many days where I feel unhappy and insecure but most importantly I feel UNHEALTHY! It's no fun feeling like a blob so it's time to do something about it.

While I excel in other areas of my life, being healthy and staying active has been a challenge for me. It's easy to lose focus on my fitness goals without the tools, motivation, and accountability I need to succeed. I am very excited that I've come across this site and grateful ...

I'm at the age where I am making decisions about where I want to be in 5 yrs. I need to change my lifestyle if I want to change my life. This is one change of many that I've decided to make.

My affirmations and things I learn along the way:

Don't go cold turkey! I've tried this many times and it leads to failure. Transition into this new lifestyle choice.

Take it one day at a time.

Remember not to let the "bad days" throw me off my game. ONE DAY AT A TIME!

I can do anything I put my mind to.

My Goals:
My ultimate goal is to change my lifestyle by learning to make healthier decisions through healthier food choices, monitoring my portion size, and exercising regularly. I don't just want to lose weight. I want to live healthy.

My Program:
To meet my goals I plan on exercising at least 5 times a week to include cardio, strength training, and stretching. I plan on being aware of my food choices by monitoring my portions and eating because I am HUNGRY.

My name is Kay and I have lived in Las Vegas, Nv for the last 18 yrs. I am a medical assistant currently working in a different capacity at a hospital.

I have two yappy chihuahuas that I adore and one son who passed away very young. I love a good book and a stinky cheese!

I am unconventional and easy going. I enjoy intelligent debate and informed opinions, especially if those opinions differ from my own because they take me out of my comfort zone and force me to consider another POV.

I am doing an entire overhaul on my life and this is just one step of many. One day at a time.
