Baby Steps to a HEALTHY ME!!

Hi! Welcome to my page! My name is Kelly. I am a wife and a mother. We have a 10 year old daughter and 3 year old son that keep us very busy!! This is my biggest reason for wanting to lose weight, to keep up with them! I am tired of feeling fat and fatigued while outside playing with them. I also want my husband to look at me and say "WOW!!". I am just trying to take it one day at a time and not get too discouraged when I fall off the wagon. I am human and will make mistakes, but the key is to get right back up and right back into the swing of feeling healthy.

I never really had a weight problem until I was pregnant with my son right after highschool. I gained over 70 pounds with him. My son passed away when he was just an infant and then I packed on even more while working through the grief. I did finally lose about 20 pounds, but then after being married, I got lazy and put everything back on.

My focus has become more on health and strength as opposed to the scale. Since I started lifting weights the beginning of the year, my weight has acutally gone up. But I have lost a pant size and my body is more toned that it has ever been. I have a long way to go, but slow and steady wins the race, right?!

My Goals:
My goal is to get healthy. I am trying not to focus on the scale. I have been lifting weights for a couple of months and have really noticed by body toning up, but the scale is the exact same it was when I started. But I have gone down a pant size, so it is working!

My Program:
I hope to do this by keeping my calories between 1200-1500. I also try to drink no less than 96 ozs of water daily. I am doing a combo of CLX and Treadmill 2-3 Miles. I am also trying to throw in an Ab workout 3x/week.

Personal Information:
I am a 35 year old wife and mother of a 9 year old daughter and a 3 year old son. I work from home doing medical coding. This profession gives me the awesome opportunity to be here before my daughter leaves for school and to be here for her when she gets out of school.

Other Information:
We enjoy golfing as a family or just my husband and I. We also love watching HUSKER football and the Denver Broncos. I also enjoy playing anykind of game with my kids and reading books with them. Anything I can do with my family is what I enjoy! Anything that allows me to be with my family makes me happy.

Hey friend! No, I didn't look much further into the coding career, it intrigues me, but I can't seem to find very helpful info.... I hope you are doing well and staying strong in this journey. I fell off the wagon BIG time in the last few months and have gained, but it's time to get back on track. Summer is almost here, as is the big 3-0, so I HAVE to get at a better weight before I hit that milestone ;) Take care!
