You CAN join the circus ...

... at least if you're willing to pay for it.

I'm 46, I've always been sort-of fit, but sometime in 2011 I really got hooked on the idea of taking up where I left off with gymnastics in high school. Maybe because my kids are mostly grown, I don't know...

Since then I've noticed that you have to be crazy strong to do this stuff. So I decided to do Beachbody's p90x, which helped alot.

Then my daughter wanted to take circus classes, and I tagged along. ...

So, yeah, I wanna do it all!!

Hey! Thanks alot for the encouragement and protein suggestions on my blog :) I know I'm a little too hard on myself, gotta work on that as well as the body! How are your gymnastics going??

Yup!! Maybe about once a month or so at this rate.. she ROCKS!!!=D She used to do a lot of body building stuff when she was younger, has seen a personal trainer friend off and on for a longggg time and is a massage therapist so she has a really active background. Love her to pieces!!

Thank you for the suggestion about the achy knees! And now that I think about it you may be right! But I don't think it's from my knees hitting the floor (I really strive for great form! I'll slow down if I gotta! haha) but when I jump my feet back in, I was noticing how my knees/legs were bent at a strange angle.. the last few days I've been focusing on keeping my feet together when I jump them in, regardless of if they're not together for the push up portion. But this could be the cause of the knee aches? Starting in february, going from only one burpee a day again I'm going to really focus on keeping those knees together! =D
