Hello,
Found your page and thought we had a lot in common.
I started at a high weight of 184 and am currently teetering around 161-163 lbs. I am looking at a goal weight of 150. (although my height is 5' 2" so the powers that be say my goal weight should be about 138???)
I walk 2 miles every day. I also do an hour Yoga class once a week. I am thinking about adding more Yoga through my week. I also garden a lot.
I am 55 and it seems like my metabolism has come to a halt.
I am hoping that we can cheer each other along.
By the way, where did you find the Virtual Models Current and Goal Weights

Hey Kat, thanks for the compliment. I usually hate to get my picture taken, but I thought it was time. I hardly recognize myself. When my daughter came to visit and I met her in the airport, she turned the corner, looked at me and said "Mom, you look great!" I hadn't seen her for four months and it was so good to hear. I love reading all your posts and am glad we have become virtual friends. ~ Martha

Hi Kat!

Thanks for visiting my page and welcoming me. I just found this web site and love it. Still navigating through but am thoroughly enjoying it. When I'm feeling stressed or want to eat I just come here and start reading and it takes my mind off of things. I even got my husband to start his own page and he is learning to journal. It has been an awakening to him to see calories. He is now starting to understand how he managed to gain 15 lbs. Looking forward to getting to know you and others here.

Hi Kat! You sure live in a beautiful part of the country! I know - I have visited there! ... Like you, I am at the stage in my life where I am paying more attention to exercise/diet to ward off effects of osteoporosis/arthritis/and those other boomer maladies! Hopefully in the process, about 20 lb will drop off me too! Ha! I'm looking forward to participating in the Buff Boomer's Team! Thanks for the welcome! ~ Sissy

Hi Kat,

Thanks for visiting my page and leaving the message about you and Jack! I love to hear stories like that, especially when we are exposed to so many bad things these days.

I did pet rescue down in Louisiana 2 weeks after Katrina. To make a long story short, we brought a kitten back who now rules over the "weiner" and the "whiner" (therapy dog rottweiler)!! She'll sit in the middle of the stairs and not let anybody through! It's hysterical.

Take care of Jack - he sounds like one terrific hero! (Ours were rescued from the pound, too. They're the best!) And please say "hello" to the cat!

Hope your nutrition and exercise program is going well.
