I've always had a weight problem, even as a child, and one of my biggest challenges is finding activities that keep my interest. At one time, my top weight was over 300. I'm proud that I was able to lose 50 of that and keep it off for over 15 years, but now it is time to get to a healthier weight. I've probably tried every type of diet plan out there (even Weight Watchers). They all worked for a while, but I don't think I ever really changed my mindset about food and exercise. I'm hoping that being a part of this community can help to keep me motivated and on track. I'd really like to be able to be healthier and more active. 2/1/09-The Journey begins anew. I'm renewing my commitment to myself to eat healthier and get more exercise. Will track my progress towards my goals through journaling. 7/8/09-I've been very lax in keeping up with my tracking and journaling and the emails keep piling up. Not enough hours in the day. 5/1/15.....now living at the shore in SC. Southern food is definitely NOT healthy...need to get back in the habit of tracking. 11/3/16-just back from Dr. visit and need to recommit myself to this journey. Weight creeping back up and cholesterol counts not good. Will be limiting carbs to get blood work back in line and starting a walking program.
