One Day at a Time

I was re-reading my intro today and realized that this is not who I am today.
I am STILL over 100lbs over weight.
I am committing to my "last attempt" because I don't plan to ever have to make this decision again. This is my last Day 1.
I am not thinking about surgery right now,
I realize that I need to get healthy first in my mind and spirit.
I need to deal with my compulsive behaviors that got me to this point.
I need to surrender to a Power Greater ...

Last Attempt At Weight Loss Before Resorting to Bariatric Surgery:
I am over 100lbs over weight. I am 37 years old, recently married, and trying to get healthy. I have consulted with a Bariatric Surgeon and have started the pre-surgery process which takes several months. My daughter is a teenager and for the first time in her life she is struggling with weight issues. I don't want to see her go down the same road I have gone down. She and I are both committed to losing weight and getting healthy. I am putting the surgery plan on hold and am really focusing on healthy diet and exercise. This time I feel like I have to be the example for my daughter. While I feel the same familiar fear of failure, I have additional motivation to succeed this time around. I want to make positive changes that will last for the rest of our lives.

Good morning Katiewolfie! Haven't talked to you and wanted to reach out and say hey, how ya doing? We've got a challenge this week where we reach out to others on our team to check in with them and make sure all is well. Hope all is and that you're doing well on your trip to a successful weight loss.

Keep up the good work and feel free to stop by and write on our Team's Wall or participate in any of the posting boards you find interesting.

We'd love to hear back from you!

A belated welcome to the Living Binge Free team, where we concentrate more on learning to eat sanely in all situations with all foods rather than directly on weight loss. Over time, we can learn to be happy with and even prefer lot less manufactured food and less food in general. I've put in over 4 years and lost about 40 lbs., about 21% of my former weight. It wasn't easy every second, but it's been totally worth it! Come check out our 21-day streak thread or the June thread, our most active ones or start your own!
