Katie's Journey

I am trying to lose not just weight but inches so that I can downsize myself to upsize my quality of life; as well as to avoid many of the health issues that are present in my family. I have learned that the scale number is just part of this journey, but the measuring and losing clothing sizes are just as HUGE!!!!

We have many big events coming up in the year 2014, and I would love to be at a healthier weight by then.

My Goals:
My first weight loss goal is to lose 5% of my current weight.

My Program:
I am trying to do this on my own for now...by decreasing (not eliminating) carbs, and adding more fresh fruits and veggies. I also plan to limit myself to 2 diet soda's a day, thus should be increasing my water intake.


Personal Information:
I have been happpily married for 18+ years now. My hubby is a WISCONSIN dairy farmer as well as a production worker. We have two children (son 17, daughter 15).

I work as a 4K teacher and director as well as the administrative director for a Parent's Day Out Program.

Having just finished my course work for my DPI teaching license, I hope to transfer the time and energy used for studying into time and energy to become more fit and healthy.


Other Information:
I enjoy reading, stamping, camping, and spending time with my family.
