I have been divorsed for about 6 months now and mentally feeling much much better. When I first started sparkpeople it was to try to lose my "babyweight" and find some kind of control in my ever spinning out of control world. My Goals:
I WILL lose weight before my birthday in April. my goal is to reach half my current size by the end of this year. I keep saying every year "this will be the year" well this is the year and I will be health and smart about my eating and exorcising. It is no longer a choice now it is something I need to do to live a health life.

My Program:
Counting Calories is a huge part of my weight loss. I use to think that I could eat whatever I wanted and just work out well the problem became that I was eating more calories then I was burning. So my plan is to eat around 1400 cals a day and to work out five days a week do for at least 30 minutes. if you want to know exactly what I am doing just ask =0)

Personal Information:
My name is Katie and I live in Washington. It rains a lot here and there isn't the opportunity to take long walks outside so I have to find ways to work out in house.

Other Information:
A really big motivator for me is the biggest loser. The reality of it is that there is no "quick fix" and "easy way" it took me a while to get to this point and it is gonna take a while and hard work to get take it off. i had to realize that first. I had to realize that taking a pill wasn't going to fulfill my dreams I have to work to get them. Biggest loser shows people getting results from working hard. That is real life!

Hi Katie,

So sorry to hear about Jeremy. Hope he can make the changes he needs to be healthy. Good for you for jumping back on here during this tough time. It is important to remember to take time for yourself to stay strong and healthy. This way you can be in great shape to take the best care of them too.

I am doing well. Still keeping to my range but not exercising as much either. Need to get back to exercising regularly. My next weigh in is on Halloween. Hopefully that will help me to stay away from the halloween candy!! :)

Hello My Lovely Friend!

I did my 3 month weigh in today and was down 10 pounds total! WOO HOO!! Just had to share my joy. I hate to admit it, but my husband Dave was right! I hate when he is right! emoticon

I also completed my final exam last night. My very last one ever. I have completed requirement for my BA Degree. My graduation ceremony is not until Dec 20th. This is my motivation to stick to my new healthy habits so I can hopefully lose more before my big day. I was hoping to be under 200 when I walked across the stage, but I think that might not be realistic. If I can just be even 10 pounds lighter by then I would be satisfied. Slow and steady wins the race right?

Hi Katie,

Had a few minutes and wanted to let you know I was thinking of you and hope you are well. Things are good on my end, my clothes is feeling really lose and people keep asking if I have lost weight. I weigh in in two weeks! Can't wait to see! Two weeks of school left for summer school so may not have time to check in for a few weeks. Hopefully the next time I drop you a line I will have some good news!
