feeling stronger and more steady on my feet

I live in tennessee withmy husband of 37 years. I have 3 children and 5 grandgchiled, 2 of which I babysit 2 days a week., there names are Collier 3 yrs. and carson 3 months. I need to get stronger to keep up with them. I have had so many surgeries on my feet, I have no balance. I need help with that. and just alaround encouragment.

My Goals:
lose weight., beable to go up steps without difficultiy, regain my balance. go to the "Fit Club" everyday because Iam a member.,,run just a little,,I want to start getting up earlier,and not stay up so late. not need a walker to go for walks


My Program:
wake up, early. eat small breakfast. drink at least 4 bottles of water a day... keep moving. go for short wal;ks 2 times a day using my walker if I have to. ..eat more vegies.

Personal Information:
My name is kathy I live In Tennessee. I moved here from Florida. I am 55 years old., married for 37 years. 3 children, Kelly 35 home maker., Kevin 25, paramedic ,,Keith 23 grafic designer, and college student.. 5 grand children. Kaitlin 20,,Kyle 15, Klab 13, (notice a pattern ) , Collier 3, Carson 3months. I babysit my 2 youngest grandchildren 2 days a week, which is why I need to lose weight., I was aa teacher until I became disabled because of my feet problems.

Other Information:
I love to crochet, but I am not that good at it. I read books ,by Dean Koonts. and Mave Binchy. I love my pool, I play my beach boys music and swim around. I call my grand son Collier, my Kahuna because he love the water with me.

Hey Kathy, Thanks for stopping by my page and enjoying my intro. It actually took me about 6 weeks to write.

I see you have problems with your feet, I am guessing diabetes related? Also you have a rough time walking. Is it possible you can do your walking in the pool. They say that pool workouts are probably one of the best forms of exercise because it isn't blunt force trama on our bodies. Just treading water for 30 mins for someone my size can burn like 300 cals.

Well I am glad to have a new friend, always great to get encoragement and to give it to others to help us saty motivated. Stop by anytime. I will check on you to see how things are going. You actually look fimilar to me, but don't know where I would know you from.

I just wanted to share a small victory with my sparkfriend...I knelt tonight to bathe my Granddaughter...it didn't hurt, and I could actually get up afterward!! Everything is improving, it is so worth it!! Holiday greetings to you!! Jill

Kathy, Thanks for adding me as a friend, and I have added you, as well. You are at the right place to accomplish your goals. I admire your being able to keep your grandchildren two days a week. As much as I would like to keep my two year old granddaughter, I would definitely not be able to keep up with her. Though I don't have feet problems, I broke my ankle in 1991, and I cannot tolerate being on my feet for hours at a time. I am hoping with weight loss that will improve. Also, because of my weight, my lower back gets to hurting something terribly when I am on my feet for any length of time. Again, losing weight should improve this. I hope you will stay in touch and we can help one another be accountable to the process!!
