The Adventures of a Chronic Dieter

It seems I am always on a diet. However, this time, I'm determined to lose these extra lbs!!

A year ago, overweight (OK-- I'm still over weight!)...overweight, my joints hurt, my hips hurt, I felt awful most of the time...So, on a whim, I joined a "women's fitness weight loss class" at a local gym. After a few weeks of "torture" I began to feel stronger, I felt sooo much better. The weight is slowly coming off...I have a long way to go...but I'm going to FINALLY lose this ...

After a few weeks of "torture" I began to feel stronger, I felt sooo much better. The weight is slowly coming off...I have a long way to go...but I'm going to FINALLY lose this excess weight!! I'm still going to the weight loss class twice a week. Having a trainer and being in a class with 2-3 other women has been very helpful. We celebrate our successes and give encouragement when we have less than "stellar" weeks.

Feeling stronger, I have decided to run a 5K in September. I'm hoping I will be "strong" enough by then to finish. A year ago, I couldn't run, or do much of anything that required energy. Wish me luck!

Just stopping by to say Hi! You've been a member of the "Living with Osteoporosis" team for a time, but we haven't heard from you. I've been putting a lot of links in the forums to osteo news. The definition of osteoporosis is even being challenged! If you haven't stopped by in awhile, come on over!
