Good comment about the whole grains. I have been buying some of the ancient grains etc but what I meant was using this in cooking seems more geared toward winter. Hardy pilafs, or stews or breads etc. I do add ground flax and wheat germ to my yogurt!

Thank you for the rose. I wish I could plant it up at our cabin!

emoticon emoticon emoticon Thank you so much for the goodies and good wishes (and good advice.) I will be taking a short break from Spark People to take time to care for me. I really appreciate your kindness and support and friendship.

Thanks for your comment on my avocado problem. As a kid we looked forward to having avocados when we could get them since my Dad was from CA and grew up on them. Living back east in the 50's and 60's they were really a special treat. I have only developed this "nausea" in the last 10 years or so (I'm 66 yrs. old). I have tried different varieties and still have the same problem. Occasionally, I try a little guacamole but only a tablespoon and I must have it with a tortilla, bread or crackers to avoid getting too ill. I usually try a bite or two only when I know I'll be home soon in case I get sick. Sure do miss those avocado sandwiches and salads our family used to enjoy. emoticon

Thank you for commenting on my blog about perfectionism. You are so right we need to lighten up on ourselves. That only Jesus was the one and only perfect person. And judging from what he said to Martha he didn't stress over housework and trivia!
