I've been a Sparkpeople Member for several months now, though only seriously engaged since November 2012. I have lost nearly half of my 40lb goal, and I'm feeling delighted! I am learning balance in my busy life, what eating right looks like, and how to prioritize exercise. I am 51, and I'm determined to keep an able and mobile body through my next few decades.

My Goals:
Lose 40 lbs altogether.
*Be under 160 by New Year's Day.
*Have 20lbs lost by the time I visit my friend Jan 10th.
*Be under 150lbs by Valentine's Day.

Increase aerobic capacity, muscle strength and flexibility.


My Program:
Practicing portion control and charting everything I eat. Participating in challenges here on Sparkpeople, including training for a virtual 5K run. Stretching daily.
