On My Way...

I've been a Sparkpeople Member for several months now, though only seriously engaged since November 2012. I have lost nearly half of my 40lb goal, and I'm feeling delighted! I am learning balance in my busy life, what eating right looks like, and how to prioritize exercise. I am 51, and I'm determined to keep an able and mobile body through my next few decades.

"Happiness is not something you postpone for the future; it is something you design for the present."

"Failure is not a single, cataclysmic event. You donít fail overnight. Instead, failure is a few errors in judgement, repeated every day."

"If you donít design your own life plan, chances are youíll fall into someone elseís plan. And guess what they have planned for you? Not much."

"The major reason for setting a goal is for what it makes of you to accomplish it. What it makes of you will always be the far greater value than what you get."
