Losing 70 lbs To Be Healthy

07/22/2010- Update...
I am a busy, working, single mom of 2 and This is actually working! I am sticking to it and enjoying every moment of getting healthy, more active and - let's face it- skinnier!

I am re-evaluating my goals now. Instead of Losing a total of 70lbs. I am looking more at 85...and I know that I can do it. I need to get back on stage. (I am a musician/singer- graduated from Berklee College of Music). As much as I think I am reinventing myself, I am finding ...

I am a busy, working, single mom of 2 and This is actually working! I am sticking to it and enjoying every moment of getting healthy, more active and - let's face it- skinnier!

I am re-evaluating my goals now. Instead of Losing a total of 70lbs. I am looking more at 85...and I know that I can do it. I need to get back on stage. (I am a musician/singer- graduated from Berklee College of Music). As much as I think I am reinventing myself, I am finding myself.

I was not always heavy. In Fact, in high school and the beginning of college, I probably topped off at 125lbs. I used to work out with trainers and really be fit. I have played softball the majority of my life. Baseball is one of my passions.

My Goals:
Goals:
-To Lose 70lbs.
...maybe 85 lbs...

Short-Term Goals:
-To be a good role model for my children.
-To have more energy to have FUN with my kids.
-To cook more family meals.
-To be Healthier!!
-To feel sexy again!

Goal Changes:
-I want to run a 5K
-I believe I am going to change my weight loss goal at the end of the year. ;)

My Program:
SparkPeople has been more help then I could have ever imagined!!

I follow the Nutrition/Food Ranges and do a lot of walking on my lunch hour, golfing, wiffleball and wii exercise. ...And the gym at least 3 times a week.

I have also changed my perspective and I believe this has been the catalyst for the weight to actually come off this time and for me to stay motivated!

Personal Information:
I am a single mom of 2 awesome kids. I am musician working as an accounting manager.

I am ready for this journey and a new chapter of my life.

I post about food on FB all the time, seaweed snacks was one of them, and people always think I am so weird for eating stuff like that. Glad someone else shares me tastes! Boston is actually having a rather mild winter this year. It is a great city :).

I love the seaweed snacks! Both the plain and the ones with wasabi. They give me the feeling I am eating chips even when I am not lol.
