My name is Kate, I am a 23 year old social service/admission assistant for a nursing home. I have been on this weight loss journey since July of 2008 and have lost and regained about 40-45 pounds since then! It was extremely difficult to get back on the scale a few weeks ago only to find out that the damage done over the last few years has led me right back where I started from. My wake up call this time came on September 5th when my boyfriend of 7 years asked me to marry him! I know now that this is the time it will stick, I wish to become a healthy, fit, beautiful bride and live as many healthy years as possible as his wife.

My Goals:
For 2012-2013:
-Participate in at least 4 5ks, maybe even one 10k.
-Lose at least 50 pounds.
-Eat out no more than twice a week.
-Work out 4-5x per week. Getting at least 200 cardio minutes in per week. Alternating group classes with running and yoga.
-Be able to run a mile without ever walking.
-Stop eating after 9pm.
-Drink MORE water.
-Track food everyday!
-Get adequate sleep!

Vanity Goals:
-Size 14
-Size 12
-Size 10
-Wear a Victoria's Secret Bra
-Have abs!
-Be "thick skinny" ;)
-Choose a bikini based on the color and design rather than whether or not it fits!

    thanks so much for the idea about the yoga. unfortunately, if I don't get it done before 7 am, it isn't happening... I did really enjoy it though. Actually, I feel so good right now! 15 hours later. My muscles that were so so sore this morning feel really pretty good now. I think the yoga is placed exactly right in the mix of workouts. I know I will love it. I just have to LEARN it. LOL!

    I’ve been VERY absent on Spark…and I’ve not been very on track with diet and exercise, either. Winter is tough for me (as I know it is everyone) and the snow won’t take a break so I can get outside. But I’m scheduled to run (probably more of a wog) a half marathon in May with a fellow Sparker, so I’m going to have to get my booty in gear!

    Thanks for the info. I feel like I should be doing more, however, walking to the bathroom is killing my quads today! LOL.

    Maybe after I graduate, I will add something else into the mix.
