My name is Kate, I am a 23 year old social service/admission assistant for a nursing home. I have been on this weight loss journey since July of 2008 and have lost and regained about 40-45 pounds since then! It was extremely difficult to get back on the scale a few weeks ago only to find out that the damage done over the last few years has led me right back where I started from. My wake up call this time came on September 5th when my boyfriend of 7 years asked me to marry him! I know now that this is the time it will stick, I wish to become a healthy, fit, beautiful bride and live as many healthy years as possible as his wife.

-Participate in at least 4 5ks, maybe even one 10k.

    thanks so much for the idea about the yoga. unfortunately, if I don't get it done before 7 am, it isn't happening... I did really enjoy it though. Actually, I feel so good right now! 15 hours later. My muscles that were so so sore this morning feel really pretty good now. I think the yoga is placed exactly right in the mix of workouts. I know I will love it. I just have to LEARN it. LOL!

    Iíve been VERY absent on SparkÖand Iíve not been very on track with diet and exercise, either. Winter is tough for me (as I know it is everyone) and the snow wonít take a break so I can get outside. But Iím scheduled to run (probably more of a wog) a half marathon in May with a fellow Sparker, so Iím going to have to get my booty in gear!
