Me in Edinburgh, Scotland
My boyfriend, Christopher and I
Shared Food & Fitness Trackers
I'm a senior in college (psychology major) who wants to lose weight to achieve a healthier lifestyle with the shorter goal of looking good for my sister's wedding in August '09. I enjoy biking, snowboarding, swimming, and I am beginning to not hate running.
My goals are to lose weight and begin a healthy lifestyle. I hope to lose at least 30 lbs by my sister's wedding in August '09.
To meet my goals I am trying incorporate a lot of cardio exercise into my everyday routine as well as cutting calories by eating healthy foods.
My name is Katelyn and I'm from Erie, PA, but I go to school at Lock Haven University of PA.
I love movies of all kinds and I can never watch enough. I like a lot of different kinds of music like indie, punk, classic rock, some metal, some pop, and jazz (especially Frank Sinatra.

Hey, I haven't been chatting to you in awhile. :)
How have your classes been going? Have you been tracking your food?
I'll agree on some minor slip ups. :/ I've just know figured out a solid schedule to work out and eat. :sighs: Senior year. Can you believe it!? I'm ready.
OH- I'm officially going to see my bf in December so I feel even MORE motivated now!!!
Just wanted to stop by and say you've made a great headway on your journey, keep it up! I haven't weighed in in awhile and I'm getting nervous. :( But it's alright. I know in my heart, I am healthier now than I was a bit ago.

WHOA! Look at you go!
You're personal progress has been phenomonal. Keep on pushing forward. Good idea about surrounding yourself with people who have nearly the same goals or eat healthy. Good job unpacking as soon as you got to your room. lol. I have most of my stuff unpacked but at the same time, I don't have all of it done yet- I left some stuff in storage. :sighs: I'll get it eventually. But everything has been put away. Just needs more decor. And about eating healthy- I'll admit it's harder to avoid it when at school, it's "easier" because you're so hungry and our cafe closes around 5 so by 9, you want something. lol.
How did your first week of school go?
Sorry for being gone for a week and 1/2- I was finishing up packing, saying good bye, disconnected from net for about a week, and now I'm back on.
I still kept eating right, but not tracking it due to lack of net. lol.
Moving in went really well! I'm super excited because my roommate is also committed to eating good food. :) Yum. We're fighting off the bad food of the cafeteria. :) woot woot. We stocked up on veggies and fruits! I couldn't be more excited about it. I am back onto tracking calories online so here we go. It's great having the net back. I felt lost without the trackers. :D It's like they spoil us.
My first week of school was a bit crazy - had to switch a class around and check to make sure I was ready to get back into my work study program. Otherwise, it's been great being great and I'm happy eating healthily.
Have you noticed that by eating better, you've had more energy? Because I have! And if I go to the cafe, I remember that I have more energy eating better, so I keep that in mind to avoid "bad" food, especially food I know will make me sick.
I haven't weighed in about 2 weeks and I'm nervous!!! Plus with the scale change. But I have been eating well so I know even if the scale changes numbers, I should be proud of these changes.
How have you been? It's great to hear from you and let me know how your week has been.

Hey, good for you being a tour guide. It'll be helpful to move in early and get settled in. In your off campus apartment do you have roommates as well? Our off-campus housing usually has about 4-8 students. Are you living with friends? :) Do you have a ktichen to cook in and an actual living room? I think those are the two places I miss the most when I'm at school.
For the encouragement, no problem. :) I know that with as hard as you are working, and with the fun you seem to be having, you'll be so happy when you start shedding. I think on some wall yesterday I posted that I want to be like a "shrinky dink" - the plastic you put into a microwave and it just melts down. Good concept to think about.
Can you believe we're graduating?! I don't think it's settled in completely.
lol. Would it make you feel better if I said I haven't touched anything until yesterday - everything that came home sat in the bins I brought them home in if I wasn't using it constantly. Can I mention how much I hate packing? I've put it off to the last possible day since I'm working Saturday and Sunday. I am also heading back to school on Tuesday to move into our upperclassmen dorm and help my room mate out - she is an RA this year (I was one a year ago). I'll have about a week to get situated and make our "room" situated. The upperclassmen dorms are weird- it's like 4 rooms plopped together with a bathroom in one... So we 2 of the "rooms" as our bedroom and the other end is our living room/kitchen. I feel like the Jeffersons after what we lived in the past few years! lol "moving on up! To the east side!"
For my chip/salsa habit, I am not "excluding it" but moving to corn tortilla chips so that it will be a little better. I'll be shopping for dorm room on Monday and I've been browsing the articles for healthy snacks and meals- I'm super excited!! lol I'm getting into the habit of cooking and want to learn desperately.
Anyway, Good luck this week, including with moving in. Take it easy and we'll chat again once we're all moved in.
