Making a change
I was diagnosed with high blood pressure this past November, and feel like 33 is just too young to start that. My dad died at age 58 of heart disease, and I thought that I was eating and living healthily enough. Maybe not. I've been reading "YOU: On a Diet", and it has made me look at food a new way. I'm looking for resources, motivation, and information on healthy eating and lifestyle and hoping to improve my health (and that of my family, which includes 4 children who aren't entirely on ...

My dad died at age 58 of heart disease, and I thought that I was eating and living healthily enough. Maybe not. I've been reading "YOU: On a Diet", and it has made me look at food a new way. I'm looking for resources, motivation, and information on healthy eating and lifestyle and hoping to improve my health (and that of my family, which includes 4 children who aren't entirely on board with the "healthy eating" thing and a husband who's cautiously positive about the new plan) and get a better body, too!

**Reduce blood pressure to a point where I no longer need medication **Wear a swimsuit on vacation without feeling suicidal :) **Improve family eating habits, particularly by reducing trans fats and increasing whole grains

My hobbies include reading, camping, hiking, and volleyball...but my life mostly consists of running 4 kids to various practices and events!
