Hi there. I am Kat, a 34 year old mother of 2 great kids.
My DBF says I am having a mid-life crisis. Maybe he is right but that is ok as long as the changes I am making are for the better. Or for the fun of it (hair).

WALKING/RUNNING CHALLANGES:

Marathon in a month: 8-25-9-24
26.2 Miles / 9.49 miles done 36%

marathon in a month: complete with 18 days to spare
75 Miles In May Complete! 100.53!!!!!!

100 Miles in June 100/76.52 - yeah not too happy about missing that goal. I will do better in July

My Ultimate Goal
TO BE HAPPY & HEALTHY.

Isn't that what we all want? I went a step further and made a list of the mini goals that will get me to the main goal. I have seen so many people on Spark use this and think about the sense of accomplishment they get when they can check one off. So here is my list. I deffinatly have put an emphasis on HEALTHY here because Happy is a little harder to define.

1. Educate myself about nutrition
2. Feed myself and the family "cleaner"
3. Plan complete menus not just dinner
4. Learn to really track my meals (umm hello Spark)
5. Eat more veges and fruit- working on it
6. Drink more water - DONE
7. Cut soda from my fridge - DONE
8. Cut soda from my life (no more grabbing one while out)- back sliding on this eeekkkk
9. Remember Green tea when I am looking for something other than water- Going well
10. Cut 1 cup of morning coffee.- Dont miss it
11. Cut all coffee (wahhh do I gotta???)
12. Finish C25K program
13. Run a 5K this year
14. Strength train at least 3 x week
15. Build up to walking 5+ miles on days I don't run
16. Go back to Flylady to get my house and life organized- back and I LOVE HER
17. Dont break the bank with my goals, learn to live on less.
18. MAKE SURE MY FAMILY GOES TO BED EACH NIGHT KNOWING THAT I LOVE THEM
19. Study for small business
20. Find balance in my life.

I think this is a good start. Some items will take time of course, what else do I have?

I want to run. I hadn't ran a step since highschool but have reciently taken it up. I would like to do a 5K by next year.

Taking care of what I eat and cutting back the junk food. Incorporate exercise daily.
