Here we go again--
I've been losing weight since 1998, not quickly, but 75 pounds over the course of 7 years. I lost my job due to cut-backs in the environmental field in October 2006, and I lost my home to a fire in January 2007. It has taken me a few months to regain my equilibrium, and during that time I've regained 30 pounds of hard lost weight. I am slowly regaining my normally optimistic outlook, and with the help of Spark members, I hope to soon be back on the "losing track" ...

My Goals:
I'm not interested in losing a lot of weight in a short period of time. I've been that route before and the weigtht piles back on faster than I took it off. I am satisfied just to see the numbers on the scales continue in the right direction--down . I've cut my long, long term goals in half to come up with my long term goals. Then I'll revise them when I meet my first goal.

My Program:
I am following the Spark diet & exercise plan, walking and getting back into yoga on a regular basis. And each night before I go to sleep, I try to visualize something to look forward to the next day, to help me end today and start tomorrow with a positive outlook.

Welcome to 50 plus for all!!! I must say it has been the most successful method of weight loss and lifestyle changes I have encountered. The people are understanding, they have experienced all that I have in this fight with weight, bad habits and low self esteem. With their encouragement, I have won battles that I had lost in the past...and each day I feel encouraged and know without a doubt that I will reach my goal..and when I do..will still maintain healthy habits I have learned.
losing slowly is the best way...and you have taken the first step to doing it right..joining SP..and especially this team.
