To lose or not to lose is always the question of the day. Sometimes my life seems too complex to choose to think about what I am putting in my mouth everyday. With homeschooling, gardening, activities for kids, little ones needing attention, and my own pursuits nagging at me...I am ready to keep the change. I use others as my examples and they seem to keep in shape, I AM READY.

There's a whole sport of trail running. Two of my kids even have trail running shoes. They don't run trails, we just decided they'd make excellent hiking shoes. Sounds like fun. My joints don't' do well when I run, so I'll just cheer you on! :)

So where did you hike? What did you see?

Kayaking was great. I'd love to go again soon! Too bad it's so expensive when you have to take everyone. The very cool thing about the kayaking we did is that it was a fundraiser for a group that does handicap accessible sports (waterskiing, snow skiing, kayaking and a few others).

You should track your time gardening and working outside. It's a surprising amount of calories. If you are gardening for five hours, it's over 1200 calories burned!

Great job on going for a walk. Sounds heavenly.

When we took the kids out to eat, I decided to have the giant chocolate chip cookie sundae. So, this is the first day I've gone over my calorie range. I'm not sure I regret it at all. Yummy, yummy lunch. Now, I've got to get packing!
