An October day perfect for the beach. It may not be perfect, but I love the changes in this body!
1992 at 129 lbs
One of my "bigger" days-fall of 2004. I was getting close to 200 here.
New day, new page:
I moved back to Alaska and I weighed myself. Those things are not related, but they did happen recently. In the last few months I have gained so much I am now 171. Back to Sparking because I obviously didn't do it well when I tried alone. I thought I could save time by not logging, but I am going to do it again because otherwise I will waste time buying new, larger clothing instead!
When my new clothes started getting too tight, I knew I had to do something drastic or move to a nudist colony. Since I am too large to show myself without clothes, I figured a new lifestyle was in order. I began my journey home (to thindom) officially on Christmas Day, and registered on SP in January when my daughter(who is smarter than I) told me about it enough times to let it sink in. I am an official SP with the SP water bottle to prove it! My highest weight was 219 when I started in December.
Behold, the power of having clothes that fit...
Now, at 9 months in, I am 130. I fit in many of my 17 year old daughter's clothes. I am wearing clothes from Hot Topic, and I love it!
Update: 12/24/06: I have gotten up to almost 140, and am holding steady. I really have got to get with it and hit my goal. I had surgery a few days ago so that I can exercise with fewer problems, and when I heal, I will put it to the test. I can't wait!
Update: 12/28/07: I have been doing no more than maintaining. I have stayed very near 140 for the last year. The beginning of this year will see me make my goal just so I can say I did! I am looking to fit into a hot little leather halter for Harley-riding this summer!
I would like to fit into my closet of skinny clothes I have and be able to wear a swimsuit at the beach. I would also like to not have to turn off the lights when I get changed!

In the beginning I dropped my calories to 1200 per day and did Tae Bo for 30 minutes per day and walked as fast as I could for 60 minutes every weekend. I also did my strength training every other day. By July, I changed that to running 3-5 days per week (5-10 miles each time.), usually 60 minutes Tae Bo on the other days, and strength training several days per week.
Now, with my teaching and schooling taking up so much time, I mainly workout on the weekends and in bits and pieces over the week. Yikes!
On 12/28/07, I started a Bringing in 2008 with a bang!Challenge.
