Hi! I'm KarlieK, I'm 54 years old. And I made some big changes in my life!

About 4 to 5 years ago I ate too much of anything. I drank diet coke all the time. And I wondered why I gained 30 pounds! So I had my ah-ha moment and decided to get healthy! I quit drinking diet coke. I changed processed, sugary, fatty foods for clean healthy whole grains, vegetables, fruits, and lean protein.

I started eating clean, that is mostly no processed foods, and food without chemicals in it, and no sugar and white flours... It's all about eating good food to nourish my body! I starting feeling better than I had in quite some time! I love eating clean healthy whole foods. Food that God made-- not a factory! It finally made me realize I don't have to starve to lose weight too! I just need to eat healthy!

I just became a grandma for the first time July 11, 2009 and we had another grand baby born October 19th, 2010! And my third grandbaby born 2014!
I thought it will be wonderful to have a quality life to spend with my three grand daughters and the rest of my family.

I'm determined to stay healthy by my clean eating, exercising, and positive thinking!
I'm putting God first in my life. And my family and friends right after that!!

My goal to keep a permanent change-- NOT A DIET!! I eat healthy daily. with plenty of lean protein, fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and fiber, and water! I also hope to be a motivation and inspiration to others too!


Goals:
1) Fitting into my clothes better would be awesome too!
2) Quit making excuses!
3) I want to Fit into some of my smaller clothes that I already have.
4) Commit to making me healthier. Both sides of my family have heart problems. I need to keep my heart healthy!
5) If I blow it one day, I won't give up! This is a new life style for me!
I never had to worry about my weight when I was younger. For the most part I try to make good healthy choices. I love fruits and veggies.
6) I like to cook. I like "clean eating", so I pray that I will have the will power to stick to cooking and eating healthy!
God is my strength and my helper!

My family: I have a wonderful husband, Brian; two grown daughters, one son-in-law, and 3 beautiful granddaughters! We also have two dogs- a red-bone- blue healer & a miniature dachshund. We're very blessed to have extended family near by and love hanging out with family and friends!

1) I walk 4-5 times a week for 30 minutes on my treadmill or outdoors.
2) I workout at home with bands, weights, and stretches.
3) Eat Clean
4) Made it a life change instead of a diet.
