2/2/09: Hello all!

It's a new year and, while I might be a little late getting back on the wagon, I'm here now!!! I was at my lowest weight in over 10 years back in October 2008 and I've definitely back slided a bit. However, I'm motivated more than ever. I recently became engaged at Christmas time and am currently planning a wedding for late September. That gives me just under 8 months to make some serious headway with my weight loss. I would be over the moon if I could ...
2/2/09: Hello all!

It's a new year and, while I might be a little late getting back on the wagon, I'm here now!!! I was at my lowest weight in over 10 years back in October 2008 and I've definitely back slided a bit. However, I'm motivated more than ever. I recently became engaged at Christmas time and am currently planning a wedding for late September. That gives me just under 8 months to make some serious headway with my weight loss. I would be over the moon if I could lose 50 pounds by my wedding day (no exact date as of yet since I'm still looking for a venue). Realistically speaking, that translates into ~6.5 lbs per month. Completely doable!!!

Last year, my big achievement was walking my first marathon the day after my 40th birthday. Since then, I've completed 5 additional half-marathons. My next event is going to be the San Diego Rock-N-Roll full marathon (yes, 26.2 miles) on May 31st. I just completed Carlsbad 1/2 marathon on 1/25/09 and Surf City 1/2 marathon on 2/1/09 (yesterday), so I'll well under way with my training. I pretty much have the exercise down, it's the eating (or controlling the eating and making better choices) that I need to work on.

I'm ready to do this!!!

My Goals:
1. Train for and complete San Diego full marathon on 5/31/09.
2. Get down to 140.
3. Wear a bikini this coming summer.
4. Eat at least 3 fruits & veggies per day.
5. Consistently exercise 5x/wk.

My Program:
This hasn't been finalized yet but will include exercising at least 5 days/wk & tracking everything that goes into my mouth!!!
