Taking Care of Me !!

Hi my name is Karen. I am married and have two boys, 19 & 21. I have spent most of my adult like overweight. I did lose about 50 pounds more than ten years ago only to regain it and then more. I am at an all time high of 226 and just want to get healthy and lose this once and for all. I've tried several times but haven't been faithful to any diet.

My Program:
Eating four or five times a day and to keep from eating just beacause I'm bored. I will not die if I don't eat sweets after dinner.

Personal Information:
I'm married to a wonderful man. We've been together for 22 years. We have two sons, still at home. I have two dogs and a cat in the house and one dog outside. I joke with my boys and tell them I know they will be leaving me soon so I now have my fur babies to keep me company.

Hi Karen,
Well I got off my duff and went to the gym. Not sure if you are aware, but I have a bad back, so I am taking things slow to where I don't hurt it, But I am proud of myself, went from 2 mi an hr to 2.5 mi an hr,on the tread mill- it took about 23.7min to walk a mile,but I was aiming for that mile mark.. then went on the chaired bicycle for 20mins, so when I entered it into my trackers, I did over my daily goal... emoticon so if I do the same for the rest of the week, I should hit my weekly goal plus, and maybe start loosing some of this extra weight I have, and strengthen my back, and just plain feel better.. emoticon

Anxious to hear how and what you are doing to lose the weight you want... emoticon

Thanks for the encouragement. you have your work cut out for you, as I am trying to quit smoking also, and the last few days I have been eating everything in sight... of course hubby doesn't help as he buys all the goodies that I shouldn't be eating. so of course all the I just keep bouncing up and down on my weight... I have got to get out of this depression, and get my butt to the gym and keep up with the work-outs.. ao please hang in there for me,, and I sure hope all of my downer's doesn't effect your motivation.. I will try to do better just for you...... emoticon
