Hey my name is Karen. I went through a seperation in 2009...which gave me the push I needed to loose some weight. Since then - I have settled in - and I 'm looking at the end of 2010. Since about March I have put on 20 or so pounds that I had lost out of the 60. - This Is not good..since I have recently put jeans on that fit last year..that are extremely tight. So needless to say...time to redirect the way the scale is moving. Time to start writing in my journal...portion sizing..measuring and most of all EXERCISING. I know I can do it..and I have a daughter who is graduating high school this June and I really REALLY do not want to be the "fat" mom in the pictures with her. I also am taking her on a cruise for a Graduation present..and I surely do not want to feel "FAT" on that either. So like I said..time to get a move on.
Its December..and it needs to start now!

My Goals:
Enter a summary of your goals, or just a few you would like to share.

I set small goals. And usually for some reason they are off numbers. I just think its fun to say..ok..next goal is 9 lbs..or 13 lbs.....or even 7 lbs. I kinda like the smaller goals..and hardly look at the big picture.


My Program:
I have to - absolutely have to write down what I eat..if I don't then I will overeat.

Well - lets see..I'm writing this on Dec 12th..about to start my program. But I am planning on working out at home. I got a cable box for the "Fitness Channel" for "on Demand" and was thinking of trying some of those videos. I justneed to start moving somehow..someway.

A great motivator for me is to take pictures and measurements. I take personal pictures of me in a sports bra and spandex shorts both front and side views..which really helps me to see the changes visually. The measuring tape allows me to see inches ..which is awesome.



Personal Information:
I am a mom of three and single. I work a lot..so I'm very busy. I try my best to stay focused on what I see in my future. I try my best to preplan food and make sure I have what I need in the house as far as snacks..if I don't have it - I'll make bad choices.


Other Information:
Love the outdoors. I love summer and all the activities that summer brings.
