My Goals:
I have a goal to become the best person I can be. I have currently lost 30+ pounds with the support of SparkPeople. I am a cancer survivor, so my main goal is just to get healthy again.

My Program:
I am using SparkPeople website to monitor my intake of food and water. I do cardio exercise at least 3-4 times a week. Either walking on the treadmill or using a Leslie Sansone walk video. I have now also added strength training to my schedule.

Personal Information:
I live in New Kent County in VA. This is the county George Washington was married in, I live near the church. Being so close to Williamsburg, there is a lot of historical sites around me. I have a daughter and a son, both are very supportive.

Other Information:
My favorite movie of all time is Gone with the Wind. I love to read mystery books, Stephen King is my favorite writer.

Don't lower your expectations to meet your performance. Raise your level of performance to meet your expectations. Expect the best of yourself, and then do what is necessary to make it a reality."

“The difference between stepping stones and stumbling blocks is not in the event itself but how you think about it and what you do after it.
Every failure and setback can become part of your success or an excuse for quitting or failing.
People who develop the discipline of positivity are both happier and more successful. "

Health is a state of complete physical, mental and social well-being, and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity. ~ World Health Organization

It seems like many of us face a continual battle to stay positive when little progress is apparent. We just have to keep in mind that we our efforts will result in a healthier life. We need to focus on how we are feeling and the energy we have to accomplish daily life tasks. Im working hard to concentrate on my health rather than just on the number on the scale; to concentrate on non-scale victories to help me stay positive every day.
