My Goals:
• decrease weight
• increase activity level
• increase energy level
• improve my teaching
(I love my job and working with teens, but I'm not performing well. So, my motivation stems from a strong desire to improve my performance at work and positively influence my students!)

My Program:
I'm starting simply. I'll begin by tracking my calories and increasing my exercise minutes gradually.

I've already identified a serious trouble spot: drinking! The only days I've exceeded my caloric intake goals terribly were when alcohol was involved.

I met my first major goal today (9/8/12) of losing 50 pounds, only a couple of months past the goal date. I've learned bunches during the process, and look forward to more life lessons as this journey toward a healthier me continues. I've upped the ante, and doubled the number to 100 pounds more as my next goal. According to my BMI, that will make me merely overweight and not obese.

Personal Information:
I live in beautiful North Idaho. I enjoy camping, fishing, dancing, and playing cards with friends.

Other Information:
Milestones:
1. 20 pounds!
Reward: resistance bands
2. 35 pounds!
Reward: Nikes
3. 50 pounds!
Reward: first professional massage

Don't lower your expectations to meet your performance. Raise your level of performance to meet your expectations. Expect the best of yourself, and then do what is necessary to make it a reality."

Thanks for the comment on my last blog! I've been so bad about keeping up communications lately, but I'm trying again! It's been kind of a crazy month/third of a year, but hopefully it's getting better! Have a great weekend and keep on moving!

“The difference between stepping stones and stumbling blocks is not in the event itself but how you think about it and what you do after it.
Every failure and setback can become part of your success or an excuse for quitting or failing.
People who develop the discipline of positivity are both happier and more successful. "
